Pay Scale ( वेतन ) : Consolidate d Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA

Educational Requirements ( शैक्षिक आवश्यकता ) : Four years Bachelor’s degree with master’s degree in Food Technology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / Post-Harvest Engineering & Technology / Food Engineering / Agril. Process Engineering / PostHarvest Technology / Agricultural Engineering / Chemical Engineering from recognized University / SAU / ICAR Institute OR Three years Bachelor’s and two years master’s degree with NET qualification in Food Technology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology / PostHarvest Engineering & Technology / Food Engineering / Agricultural Process Engineering / Post-Harvest Technology/ Agricultural Engineering / Chemical Engineering from recognized University / SAU / ICAR institute.

Desirable Qualifications ( वांछनीय योग्यता ) : Relevant working experience in ICAR institutes or SAUs, with research knowledge in food processing, product development , formulation of micro and nano encapsulated products

Job Responsibilities / Description ( उत्तरदायित्व) :Execution of experiments on extraction of pomegranate seed oil, microencapsulat ion of pomegranate seed oil. Spoken and writing knowledge of English/Hindi.

The ICAR-National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur (Maharashtra), was established on June 16, 2005 by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, as a step to strengthen research and development infrastructure for pomegranate crop. Though Universities and institutes all over the world are having research programmes on pomegranate, this is the only institution working solely on pomegranate. The centre was established to fulfill the growing demand for pomegranate both in domestic and export market through tapping the immense production potential prevailing in the country.
