Applications are invited from eligible officers for appointment to the post of Director (Conservation) Group ‘A’, Gazetted, Non-Ministerial, in the pay scale of Rs. 12000-375- 16500 (pre-revised) (Pay Band of Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/- PB-3) by transfer on deputation (including short-term contract)/transfer in the National Museum, New Delhi under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.

1. Job Description: – Application of Science in restoration/conservation of museum materials in general and of art objects (Inorganic and Organic) in particular in an Institution.

2. Eligibility for Director Job: – Officers under the Central/State Governments/Universities/Statutory organizations or Autonomous organizations:-

(a) (i) holding analogous post on a regular basis; or

(ii) with 5 years’ regular service in the posts in the scale of Rs. 10000-15200 (pre-revised) (Revised Pay Band Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- PB-3) or equivalent; and (b) Possessing a degree in Science and Chemistry as one of the subjects with 10 years’ experience of application of Science in restoration/conservation of museum materials in gen- eral and of art objects (Inorganic and organic) in particular in an Institution.

Desirable:-

Evidence of organizing programme for museum personnel in techniques of conservation of various Art Objects (In-Organic and Organic)

Note: 1. The period of deputation (including short-term contract) including period of deputation (including short-term contract) in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation or department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed four years.

Note: 2 The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term con- tract) shall not exceed fifty six years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

3. Application Process for Director Job: –

The applications in duplicate in the prescribed proforma (Annexure-I) and complete up to date ACR dossier of the officer (last 5 years) who can be spared in the event of their selection along with

(i) vigilance clearance,

(ii) integrity certificate,

(iii) cadre clearance, and

(iv) major/minor penalty statement for the last 10 years should reach the undersigned through proper channel within a period of 60 days from the date (excluding the first date of publi cation) of advertisement in the Employment News.

*Note: – Applications received after the due date or otherwise incomplete will not be considered and stand rejected. The applications/CV not accompanied by supporting certificates/ documents in support of Qualification and Experience claimed by the candidates would not be processed for determining the eligibility of the candidates for the selection.
